Bottom glued

I got the bottom glued and screwed on.   I used titebond II glue and ring shanked nails around the chine.  In the field I used #8 3/4 inch SS screws.  I ran the router around the edge.  That's one advantage for using glue over resin. You can do the routing the same day.  The other is cost.  I'll make a bow block later.

I got the sides faired and the bottom stringers in.  I have to get some more wood...

Back on the duck

I had a few weeks where I had family matters to attend to so the duck languished.  But now I'm back...
I got one side on.  I'm using thickend resin for the sides and I'll use titebond II glue for the bottom.

Big Duck!!

I've got too many boat projects open..  My son Shane and I bought a big boat.  An Alberg 30.  This is a classic sail boat.   We are on target with that boat for an early spring sail. The boat is currently lying in Baltimore right around the corner from the Inner Harbor.  When we leave we will have to take a spin around the harbor...   I'll post pix from time to time.

As for the Duck, I got the shear and chine installed.
